Fastest Bin-Picking-System for Injection Molded Products at Motek 2016 in Stuttgart
In plastics industry, a large need for automated handling of injection molded parts exists. Another challenge is the short cycle times of such processes – handling in high rate. This has been jointly addressed by DENSO Robotics Europe and the EnShape GmbH with the currently world’s fastest Bin-Picking System.
By combining the EnShape Detect sensor, the EnShape PickMan software and a high-performance DENSO robot, a bin picking system has been developed which detects plastic injection molded parts, locates and calculates the optimal grasp point in not more than 300ms. In further 1400ms plastic parts are isolated and fed in the correct position for the next cycle. Container Edge Detection and Collision Detection are already included. With 36 CPM (Cycles Per Minute) injection molded parts can be handled reliably and correctly – the world’s fastest Bin-Picking System.
For the first time, the system is presented at the Motek from 10th to 13th October 2016 at the booth of DENSO Robotics (Hall 7, Stand 7210) in Stuttgart.
